Manual Practitioners

Have a full patient load and looking for some administrative respite? 

Maybe you have recently graduated and are looking for somewhere to start your practice! Either way, this is the place for you! 

 

Our BiTS team is looking for another manual practitioner and is open to any of the following professions: 

  • Massage Therapist 

  • Occupational Therapist

  • Acupuncturist

Qualifications:

  • Registered (or soon qualify to register). Experienced candidates or new grads will be considered.

  • Acceptable criminal records check.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional massage therapy services to clients, ensuring a high standard of care and comfort.

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding their treatment plans and any concerns.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using Janeapp.

 

Clinical Trauma Counsellor

BiTS is seeking another trauma counsellor to join our team! Your trauma-attuned counselling skills will complement the treatments of other Clinical Counsellors, an Osteopathic Manual practitioner, Registered Massage therapists, Functional Health & Nutrition coach, & Limbic system retraining coach.  

You’ll have the opportunity to develop a self-directed flexible schedule (part-time / full-time) including:

  • A predictable income due to an established clinic reputation in the community.
  • Supportive full-time admin support including payment processing, booking & warm reception for clients. 
  • Clinical supervision on-site including group supervision, individual, and “hallway” consults.
  • Regular team social activities.
  • Accessible facility & spacious offices.
 

Key skills & strengths needed:

  • Advanced trauma therapy certification (or willing to obtain in near future) in modalities such as EMDR, AEDP, ART, Somatic therapies, & IFS.
  • Polyvagal informed lens & understanding the 3-phase trauma model.
  • Person-centered warmth, & cultural responsiveness.
  • Proven collaborative working relationships.
  • Must be able to work in-person at least 2-3 days a week, with flexibility for some remote therapy.
  • Maintain accurate & timely records using Janeapp (training & onboarding support provided).
  • Registration (or qualify to soon register) with BCACC or CCPA.
  • Acceptable vulnerable sector Criminal records check & valid professional liability insurance.
  • Experience level is flexible – newer counsellors with less experience are warmly encouraged to apply

Optional:

We have a waitlist for Christian adults and youth seeking a trauma therapist that aligns with their worldview. Ideally, you have lived experience with the Christian worldview and experience integrating spirituality into your therapy.
We are looking for a Part-time Office Assistant for the months of Dec 1/2024 – January 31/2025 this will be a temporary contract with potential to turn into a permanent position in February.
You will provide reception services of telephone, email, social media and receiving payment from clients; provide organizational support to therapists, office coordinator, and for office supplies and merchandise inventory. All this to help the team keep the facility running smoothly in a way that reflects the vision of the company.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
• Engage with visitors, clients, and therapists in a warm and accepting environment
• Close parking & accessible facility
• Continued training & growth
• Expansion of hours & benefits with experience and demonstration of competence
• Earn within a pay range: $20-25/hr commensurate to experience
• 16 hours a week. Must be available Monday & Fridays in December & Monday and Thursday in January. Some shifts may vary depending on clinic needs.
You will have:
• Discretion to maintain client privacy and support therapist ethics
• Relational customer service skills – focus on customer satisfaction
• Comfortability with office computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, online apps such as Canva, and effective computer file organization.
• Social Media communication savvy (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Adaptability – adjusting to meet changing demands & situations including diverse people
• Self-motivated
• Organized – able to multi-task & schedule tasks effectively
• Quick thinking telephone, email and in person reception skills
• Collaborative nature to support the integrated admin & therapist team
• Cleanliness – Attention to detail for maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Minimum High school diploma but additional office administration certificate preferred
• Preference will go to candidates with experience managing schedules & calendar software, particularly Janeapp clinic management software.
• Provide a clear RCMP criminal records check

Your trauma-informed approach to Clinical Psychology and Neurotherapy will complement the treatments of other practitioners in our clinic.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop a self-directed flexible schedule (part-time / full-time) including:

  • An attractive, predictable income
  • Full-time reception support including billing and booking services.
  • Allowance for Professional development, training, college registration & liability insurance.
  • Optional Extended Health care benefits commensurate with full-time hours

You will have:

  • Curiosity and enjoy learning both informally and formally to evolve your client skills
  • Training, experience and appropriate registration to provide EEG Neurofeedback/ Neurostimulation.
  • Warm, clinical counselling skills for 1:1, couples and/or families.
  • Proven collaborative working relationships
  • Familiar with or eager to learn Integrative therapy together with other modalities of our clinic

  • Compassion and capacity to provide trauma-informed care, including treatment plans and home
  • Maintain accurate timely client records
  • Familiarity with or eager to learn Integrative therapy with other modalities of our clinic
