The Secret Perks of an Osteopathy Treatment

Ever wonder what you can expect from an Osteopathy treatment?

Myron reveals what you might experience.

All sessions include hands-on investigation into your posture, movements, & what body structures may be causing your issues or pain. The initial session also thoroughly explores your medical history, lifestyle & symptoms/pain you experience. Treatment based on this information happens in every session.

Osteopathy is client-centered – empathetic listening, curious questions, & care that considers your unique circumstances & goals.

Occasionally, through a consult or assessment session, I will realize osteopathy may not meet your needs. In that case, I will suggest another type of therapist or strategy.

My overall approach is to use quiet listening to & respond to your body’s natural rhythms, focusing on the following:

  • Kinetic chain balancing – starting from your feet to re-create optimal postural position throughout your musculoskeletal system.

  • Organ fascial release – using the body’s self-protective mechanism (it cradles an injured area), I help find & restore healthy organ movement & connective tissue balance.

  • Central nervous system optimizing – gently balancing the autonomic nervous system to improve processes of rest, digest, & heal.

Each session is different depending on the intuitive intelligent goals of your body. The body moves at its own pace to release. It may not feel like a quick fix, & no technology is used (ie. no needling, electricity, laser, or ultrasound). It usually feels gentle & not intrusive.

Most often, after an Osteopathy session of attunement to your body, you will notice a shift in your symptoms or pain. Sometimes, the change is felt immediately in the session. Sometimes you will feel the shift later in the day of the session; or even a day or two after. Despite the delay, many have found the changes to be profound.

Complex chronic pain sufferers and clients in post-operation recovery will find quality of life improvement through symptom relief, sometimes leading to full pain resolution.
