What conditions is osteopathy useful in treating?

Osteopathy is useful in treating a multitude of conditions including, but not limited to, chronic pain, joint and muscle pain, postural issues, inflammation, nervous pain, anxiety, physical trauma, and muscle tension.

What I am unsure if osteopathy will be the right therapeutic approach for me?

If osteopathy is new to you and you are unsure whether it will be the right fit for your symptoms or condition, we encourage you to book a FREE 15 minute consultation. During this session you will be able to explore the therapy type and how it might be applied to your situation directly. You can then take the time to decide for yourself whether you would like to book your first intake appointment. There are no strings attached to the consultation and there is certainly no pressure for you to come back. Simply come and explore the practice that we have all come to love and appreciate!

I have a referral for osteopathy from my doctor. Will it be covered under MSP?

We appreciate your doctor’s confidence that osteopathy with us will be a good treatment for you!

It is important to note that manual osteopathy is NOT osteopathic medicine and is, therefore, not covered by MSP. Unfortunately, this remains true regardless of whether a medical doctor has given a referral.

Can I use insurance for my osteopathic appointments?

Absolutely! Many extended health plans now incorporate manual osteopathy. Simply be sure to review your plan details or speak with one of your insurance representatives before your appointment. Once confirmed, you can pay for your appointment up front, then submit your receipts to your insurance for reimbursement. Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate direct billing for osteopathy at this time.
