Manual Osteopathy
What is manual osteopathy?
Manual osteopathy is a unique specialty in Prince George and is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal and joint complaints. Manual osteopathy is a field of study and practice that assesses the body as a whole and treats the body in a caring, gentle, hands-on, and attentive way. There are many stubborn chronic conditions that can be treated quite effectively using manual osteopathy.

I have a referral for osteopathy from my doctor. Will it be covered under MSP?
It is important to note that manual osteopathy is NOT osteopathic medicine and is, therefore, not covered by MSP. Unfortunately, this remains true regardless of whether a medical doctor has given a referral.
Can I use insurance for my osteopathic appointments?
Absolutely! Many extended health plans now incorporate manual osteopathy! Simply be sure to review your plan details or speak with one of your insurance representatives before your appointment. Once confirmed, you can pay for your appointment up front, then submit your receipts to your insurance for reimbursement. Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate direct billing for osteopathy at this time.
